We had a couple options in mind for today and chose the one which offered the highest likelihood of good skiing. A few cm of new snow freshened things up and the sun periodically tried to poke it's head through the clouds so we had much better visibility and were able to appreciate the mountains around us. We skied three runs in a great NE facing zone - getting up to the bench had some tricky spots. Not sure what the best option would be in high hazard. Far climber's right?

Ski quality was very good and even the last few hundred metres to the cabin skied better with the skiff of fresh snow. We left ourselves a lot of leeway for potential sled issues and left the cabin at 1pm. I was home by 6:15pm. Could have been 30 minutes faster but loading the other sled is much more time consuming than mine. Also lost the toboggan at one point - bolt backed off - luckily it did not go down into the trees or creek.

A worthwhile exploratory trip... bigger terrain than Jumbo. Less easy ski options but more options for exploration and alpine. 4 people at the cabin would likely be max as the fifth bed is child sized.
