Casual but steady ride up Flowdown with Milo. The cool weather and threatening clouds seemed to scare everyone away. Conditions were excellent though. Went over the other side and only a couple snow patches left. Crazy to think only now is the whole trail system open.

Road ride up Hwy 23N with Stuart. Checked out the parkway but decided to not cross the sign stating "area closed" and possible $25,000 fine. I'd imagine it wouldn't be frowned upon but who knows. Will be patient as Im guessing it will be open in a few weeks.

Sicamous to Malakwa setting up a vehicle shuttle for the paddle. 9 and 6 minutes of threshold. Cambie-Solsqua is a nice road - too bad that it doesn't really connect with other backroads (the rail trail planned from Sicamous to Enderby would be great). I think a 45km ride could be possible if some side excursions were added but not quite enough to justify driving out for just the ride. Works as a paddle/bike combo though as only had to spend 1.5km on the TCH.

Paddle 2:40:00 [3] 26.5 km (9.9 kph)

Checking off another item off the local to do list... paddled the Eagle River from Malakwa to Sicamous. Russ and Vikki joined us again. High water and moving pretty steady which made for a quick paddle. Skipped the upper section as supposedly there are more strainers. Another interesting excursion paddling a river we drive by all the time but don't see from the highway.
