Bike 1:10:00 [3] 8.0 km (6.9 kph) +415m

Sunnyside with Milo and Courtney. 5 cm of snow on the upper trails which made trail breaking a little bit of work. We made it though and a nice fun ride down.

Hike 45:00 [1] 4.0 km (11:15 / km) +250m 8:34 / km
shoes: Salomon Speed Cross Black GTX

Easy hike up and down the summit trail. Sloppy and slushy snow so the footing was challenging. At least it had stopped raining when we were outside...

Strength 25:00 [2]

Shoulders and chest.

Run 1:00:00 [3] 6.5 km (9:14 / km) +405m 7:02 / km
shoes: Icebug Green

Back to Cartier which is still the best bet for running around here. Milo and I went to the lookout today with a detour to the creek. A few cm of snow makes that section of trail feel very sketchy with lots of exposure... didn't see anyone else which is surprising.

Run 1:05:00 [3] 8.0 km (8:08 / km) +360m 6:38 / km
shoes: Salomon Speed Cross Black GTX

Today was the first big snowfall of the season though as usual it snowed less near Cartier. We had several cm on our driveway but only a few cm on the trail. We ran to the Haulin Daze lookout and then back.

Skate ski 2:00:00 [3] 25.5 km (4:42 / km) +380m 4:23 / km

A longer skate ski today in nice sunny (though still cold) conditions. Fresh grooming made skating much nicer this morning than yesterday. The climb from Creekside is a tough warm up - heading to Criss Cross is not as steep and breaks up the climbing but does add to the vertical. I was feeling low on fuel towards the last few km - otherwise felt Ok though we will see how the muscles respond the next few days. Great to be out on snow again... we finished in the village where a prolonged stop at the ski shop meant it made more sense to walk back rather than ski;)
