AR Competition race 20:00:00 [4]

More Tomcat punishment, the most brutal AR section ever faced, and then a hammerfest to the finish. Weird race overall but great experience in a very special part of our country.

AR Competition race 24:00:00 [4]

Got back on the horse to climb Moresby, do the bike nav. and come on back to HHC. We moved really well and nailed the nav which felt good. Beautiful out there!

AR Competition race 14:00:00 [3]

Decent start to RtNX came to a crashing halt in the mtns of Haida Gwaii. Stupid crappy inexperience in the steeps! Freezing night along the Long Inlet shoreline before Coast Guard pick up.

Road Ride 1:45:00 [3]

Spun around the NW outskirts of O-Town. Legs are feeling pretty good heading into RtNX. One more week of light stuff and then time to turn it on again!

Road Ride 1:05:00 [3]

Finally got out for another spin. Too much packing of gear lately.

Road Ride 1:00:00 [2]

Went for the first spin after the MIX last week. Felt not too bad although the hammers are a little tight. Now that RtNX is a staged race, all this LSD stuff is going to be less of a issue versus all-out speed...advantage sprinters.

AR Competition race 3:00:00 [3]

- Paddled SO slowly but eventually got to end
- Biked to finish in 5th
- Hit comfy bed quite hard!

AR Competition race 24:00:00 [3]

- Finished bike at quarry
- Got out to caving quickly
- Freezing water was solace to aching feet
- Slept 1 hour
- Did okay on trek although wasted about 1 hour on one CP...not too far off fastest time in the end though
- Caught up to and passed 4th place team
- Took shorter but FAR worse route on bike to paddle, cost 1.5 hours and too much energy...frustrating course design
- Hit final paddle but too far back from 4th to catch and quite far ahead of 6th to keep sharp
