Unfortunately mispunched the water control which was a bit upsetting considering that the race went decently well otherwise. I think that I was pretty consistent and felt quite good physically, the orienteering was not perfect and I think I lost the most time being a wimp through the rocks and mountain laurel. I lost almost 3 minutes to Danny on number 8 because I wasn't aggressive and there were a few more examples where I was just dropping time because of pure wimpiness. I can partially blame the shorts I was wearing which made the course quite painful.

This went a lot better than I expected since I was coming off from such a long injury I didn't think my shape would be in a place where I'm seriously competitive with the rest of the field when it comes to physical speed, but I was in 3rd for most of the race even with small mistakes in the beginning but then I totally blew up a lot of time at the end on 13 and 17 which is sad because the mistakes were to beginner level and it really cost me a good shot at the WOC spot because a few minutes really matters on the middle.
