Make the most before we left so went for morning run up Loughtrigg. Feeling awesome going up so at the top went down a bit then did a bit of an uphill rep ~5min. Tops off all the way gorgeous morning

Such a nice day with Blue sky everwhere. We could barely walk downstairs with compounded DOMS but went and did Fairfield Horseshore from the YHA. The uphills felt amazing and just pushing on. But downhills were a bit less fun. Finished in Ambleside for some fish and chips and crazy golf.

So with some serious DOMS from Grasmere we decided on a nice easy run. From High close (Langdale) YHA we went over the fells to Stickle tarn. Harrison Stickle, Pike o Stickle, round the valley head then up Bowfell. Down the Band and back along valley to Elterwater.
Carrying a rucksack so good OMM training :) We were both struggling on downhill with the DOMS and dying a bit at the end

Was told this was a race you had to do. It was brutal still bit of a cold hanging around.
Just went off as hard as I could and went up the hill in 7th behind the lead pack. I ran too much of the steep bit and had to walk bits of the shallow hill. Summited in 7th then just went nuts. Went past Tom Addison and some other guy on steep bit then managed to get Rhys just before the road and died over the line for 4th.
Got myself a nice £60 for it too.
