Afternoon trail run south of Hester ave.
It had just started to rain when I started the run and gradually got heavier during the run. By the end I was running up the trail with a small creek running down the middle.
My watch battery had drained yesterday and after recharging it I must have also somehow reset my details online. My HR display was on % and showing lower it should have as my max HR had defaulted to much higher. I was happily running along thinking I was sitting below 80% and feeling faster than usual. I kept it below the mistaken 80% mark for all of the run except 1 hard effort up the main sandy hill of the trail.
I only noticed the error after uploading the data and seeing figures quite a bit higher than I expected. The strange thing is I actually felt very comfortable and managed a faster pace than usual at what I though was a sustainable effort. I definitely felt fresher at the end of the run than I would have if I had known the actual effort was higher.
Stupid legs.
