A few laps of Forsyth's Mill with Team Ranga minus Joel who decided a spin class would be more fun.
First lap I was thinking I'd rather be doing something else but everything seemed to flow a lot better on the next two and it was heaps of fun.
A few close calls with the narrow gaps between some trees but no falls today.

Early morning trail run. A bit nippy at the start and the hands were feeling a bit numb but after coming out of the first section of trees and feeling the sun hit me all was good. Yesterdays rain made the trail surface much better for running on and this time I made it to my favourite part of the trail that has lots of twists and turns.
Slowly getting the running fitness back, felt pretty comfortable at this pace until I started to lose a little form near the end and had a close call when I kicked a rock.

Easy session as the legs where a little tired after yesterdays interval session and I was planning to run in the morning.
Mostly just spinning at a high cadence with 3 x 1min single leg sets just to remind me how bad my technique is.

Met Danger at City Beach and headed over to Ewan St (with a bit of cyclo-cross riding on the way) for some hill reps.
One climb to check the hill then 7 reps with about 3 mins rest cruising back down the sides streets.

Pretty consistent this time other than the last one where I lost a bit of momentum when a car started to pull out in front of me but then stopped. It still would have been the slowest by a couple of seconds as the legs were starting to tire by then.
Cruised back to the car with a few more hills at a slightly easier pace.
Another good session with just the right amount of hurt.

Note

Took a day off work today as I've been feeling crook the last couple of days.
A morning in bed seems to have made a difference, starting to feel a bit better & looking forward to being a bit more active tomorrow.
