Another jog/walk at Rice Lake, placing most of the far-out controls.

Jogging and walking around the woods at Rice Lake to check control sites. Would be more fun if it was actually possible to run through the woods... Sumas Mountain, why are you not closer to town?! (or for that matter, I wouldn't mind if Aveyron was closer too...)

WET at Camosun Bog by Andy. So called Dog Ears, which were like Dog Bones, only three controls connected in each "ear". I got caught daydreaming about something else, which you cannot do to get this right, so before I completed one ear I started with another... in any case, a good exercise to force you to read and plan ahead on a map you know too well.

Run around some areas of Royal Roads, refreshing visuals for ocad drafting. Did a 400 m "rush" on the gravel track in 70 seconds.

Warm-up/cool-down. Jogging around on the map and making mental notes for map fine tuning.

Orienteering Forest 17:15 [4] 3.25 km (5:18 / km)

Test running a sprint course on the new map I just completed for BC Champs in September (http://www.orienteeringbc.ca/vico/BCOC2010.htm). Map felt good and I only made mental notes of some minor adjustments during the run. Felt better in my running today.
