Run (Trail) 1:13:21 [3] 10.1 km (7:16 / km)
shoes: Salomon S-Lab 5s (Softground)

Met Simpy, Funderstorm, and DDon11 at Kelso for a nice trail run on some of the escarpment trails with a full(ish) pack. Trail was nice, although the precipitation made it slick in spots. I was putting a lot of focus on the trail to ensure I didn't wipe out. The shoes felt much better this run, with no ankle rolling, so perhaps my feet/form are adjusting.

Mountain Biking 41:06 [3] 10.28 km (15.0 kph)

Easy post-run spin through the trails of Kelso. Only major challenge was the new ski hill switchback climb back up to the top, which felt more drawn out and painful than the usual climb up Fire.

Nice end to the morning with a stop at RAD bar and grill for some very tasty post-exercise eats and bevies.

Run (Road) 45:00 [3] 6.8 km (6:37 / km)
shoes: Saucony ProGrid Kinvara

Damn skippy I am logging this!

Road running between checkpoints at the Toronto City Chase with a full pack. No clue on the actual time, as it was all between checkpoints. I really enjoy this race as it is one of the only types of racing my wife will do with me. :) Much to our surprise, we placed 12th out of around 450 teams. Lucky for me Sarah can navigate. ;)

Super fun, stress free way to spend a Saturday. Lots of goofy fun and a very well organized event.

Regular road run with a light pack. Weird to see I hit a max HR of 190 as I never felt uncomfortable at any time during the run.

Wednesday night ride with Durham. Plan was to hook up with the ever elusive Ron Burgundy, but a last minute change in his plans had me going solo until I received a timely text from osteo who was also riding solo tonight. We met at the north end, and did an easy paced ride as he is recovering from an epic weekend of training.

Osteo had to bail a bit early to take care of his dog, so I went back in and forced myself up the Wall for at least a bit of suffering. I then met up with three guys who were lost, and were looking for some single-track to get them back to the parking lot. I did my good deed and rode them out. The ride was slow paced and littered with breathing breaks for one of their trio, but they were super nice guys so I didn't mind.

Busted the ride back to where I parked, but unfortunately it wasn't tracked as I forgot to restart the GPS when I left them. I needed Simpy, the GPS police, to keep me dialed in. Distance and time guesstimated and adjusted.

Solo run at Durham with a pack. Fighting off yet another summer cold (thanks kids!) made this run hard to get started, but once I was out there I was glad I got out. Weather was nice, and because I didn't get out until later in the afternoon the trails were reasonably quiet.
