Trail running 27:00 [3] 3.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Full loop of Digley once I got home from the YBT. Very steady as still quite nervous about the calf. It was fine.
3 x 10 eccentric calf exercises.

Orienteering 30:00 [3] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw

YHOA junior squad training at Plumpton Rocks.
Did a 1.5km attackpoint course very slowly, walked around the area with Louise working out the map and collected some controls. Calf was fine with all this. Beautiful place to spend time on a nice day. Apparently it was used as a film set for Blakes 7 (amongst other things).

Mountain Bike 1:25:00 [2] 18.0 mi (4:43 / mi)
(injured)

Car in for a service so cycled back from the Honda garage in Huddersfield. Huddersfield Broad canal, then Narrow canal to Marsden and up Wessenden. Calf much better cycling today than Wednesday.
5 PM

Mountain Bike 40:00 [2] 10.0 mi (4:00 / mi)
(injured)

Back to Honda dealer to pick up the car. Only 5 min quicker driving home.
3 x 10 eccentric calf exercises on the stair.

Road running 10:00 [2] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
(injured)

Very easy jog to test out my calf. It was pretty good at this pace; less sore than cycling yesterday. More optimistic today.

Mountain Bike 57:00 [2] 11.5 mi (4:57 / mi)
(injured)

Standard Digley, Yateholme, Hades, Cartworth Moor route but opposite way round for a change. Punctured for first time on new bike so approx 10 min break whilst I swapped the tube.
Calf hurt and had to keep heel pointing down to reduce strain on it. Not looking good for Northern Champs.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Calf more sore again today, presumably as a result of my fast walk yesterday.

Orienteering 49:00 [1] 3.0 mi (16:20 / mi)
(injured)

Walk round 1st leg of M165+ relay (4.3km). Somehow managed to beat about 15 people back! Calf a bit sore doing this but I'm intending to try the Tim Tett rehabilitation technique, ie gradually build up whilst ignoring the pain (within reason). The theory being that the muscle dosn't get clogged up with scar tissue I think. We'll see...
