Training event in Harriman. There were 30 controls with an average of 300 meters apart. This was some tough orienteering training. This is such a tough area compared to everywhere else in the US.

HVO local meet At Ward Pond somewhere in NY. I ran the red course from some major championship from 1993??
It was a great course, but I was not so great. I missed the first one low trying to get into the map. Lots of climb and No 2-8 were good. Then came 9 and I missed the easy trail to turn into towards the control. 10 was easy, but I miss read trails getting to the finish losing about 5 minutes. Great weather and it's time to get into the rocky terrain of eastern orienteering.

Another fast paced run at Bristol Woods. Funny, my time was 30 seconds faster than last week, but my HR was lower. Cooler weather I bet or in better shape? Hoping for the second one. :-)
