Kirkwood Night-O, 2nd overall. Gah, I love orienteering.

Got to the start a bit late so scrambled to pick a route (24 CP score-o). The purple ink on the map was hard to see so it took multiple looks to make sure I had all of the CPs included. Then racing to write clues, etc. Wore a mask until the word "go!" and stuffed it in my back pocket.

No idea if the course was sweepable or not but just decided to run hard. Ended up that me and Kevin M (Team BOR) had picked a very similar route so it was super motivating to race each CP. I think this helped my overall speed quite a bit.

Had to make some adjustments in the middle based on getting thru green woods, it felt really inefficient but I told myself it was probably fine...and it was.

Just so enjoyable. Winners were Matt H (of Big River Running ownership group) and his two kids under age 10, for serious they cleared the course. I was 2nd overall. Awesome.
