Cardio 30:00 [3]

Ran out of time for a solid gym visit (working late, needing groceries desperately), but thought anything was better than nothing these days (and unless you count my wednesday night 5-pin bowling league as a work out - and some that go do...) I'm pretty much down to not much exercise these days. I did however still manage to work out at a higher resistance, and for a longer time than the two women beside me - how bizarre is that?

Planning on coming to the Thomass this Sunday, looking forward to some outside time. :)

Short ski around the frozen lake before we packed up to head back to 'non-winter' in KW. Sad to leave Haliburton and a fun weekend.

Snowshoe 1:30:00 [3]

Snowshoeing along the Ridgeline Trail - ah the memories... lots of uphill, and beautiful views. Gorgeous day - wind was brisk, sun was warm... I was a happy camper (between huffing and puffing up the uphills). ;) Tiny was stuck waiting for me a lot...

XC Ski 1:30:00 [3]

Spent the Family Day weekend up in Haliburton with my brother and some of his friends. We were right where we did WT in August, so there was some trotting down memory lane as well. :)

XC ski at the Frost Centre with my Sister-in-Law. Beautiful day. Snow was pretty warm, so the conditions weren't the best, but at least they have snow! :)

Hike / walk along the Grand Trail with Sherpa near her house. I think I can log this one because I helped push the stroller through the snow - that's tough work. Ah the things I can look forward too.... ;)

Run (Trail) 1:10:00 [2]

Funderstorm agreed to run with my slowness today at the Hydrocut this morning. It figures with all the spring-like weather we've been having we got one of only a few real 'winter' days we've had! These are the days I'm happy I'm a 'trail runner' - it was flipping cold out in the parking lot with the wind, but it was actually quite pleasant in the forest. A couple of little wipe-outs on icy patches in the woods, so there was a lot of extra caution (=slowness) on the run, but it was worth it to get outside. :) Thanks to Funderstorm for still offering to go out with me - I know I'm getting more cautious and slower these days. :)

Oh elliptical how I love that I can 'run' on you without discomfort. Of course the 'hill' setting when it's up real high is starting to not quite leave enough room for my expanding belly... ;)

Glad I made it to the gym, even though I didn't get up for spin class. 12am bedtime doesn't = 5:30 am wake up happening.

Strength Training 30:00 [1]

Upper body and (modified) core work. Got my first real kick to the ribs from Teeny Tiny when I was stretching and apparently used up more of her space then she wanted... she let me know. ;)

some modified plank and push-ups
some stretching to round things out.
