XC ski-Skate (Ski-o) 1:18:31 intensity: (4:59 @2) + (50:43 @3) + (22:46 @4) + (3 @5) 13.67 km (10.4 kph) +73m

Scenic Caves
GPS missed the first half.

Fun was had, mistakes were made early on. Fast crusty conditions. I had a lot of trouble reading the very busy map and made a big error at the start. I had to stop often and read the map very carefully after that.

The map from the last ski-o here was much easier to read, but still a fun time out on a great course and bluebird day with surprisingly decent skiing.

Thanks to the Tarnos, Bash and Bob for all the hard work.

Running 58:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Slushy commute with AD in freakishly warm weather.

Wednesday Feb 21 #

XC Skiing 40:00 [3]

Jaunt with the dogs on maybe the last ski in Caledon, early in the AM while it's still frozen. Lots of snowmobile tracks, but pretty sketchy snow and forecast 6c and showers later.

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Run to work with Stephen on snow, and back sloshing in slush, ice and a little mud.

Monday Feb 19 #

Strength 15:00 [2]

Finished off shovelling the deck.

Snowshoeing 25:00 [2]

Breaking trail for the dogs again. It’s deep in the field!

XC Skiing 2:10:00 [3] 15.08 km (7.0 kph) +176m
ahr:94 max:111

South loop finally frozen enough to ski. One wet spot and a few slushy bits but mostly very good.

Sunday Feb 18 #

Snowshoeing 30:00 [2]

Broke trail for the dogs- lots more fluffy snow!

Strength 1:00:00 [2]

Shovelled off about half the deck- lots more fluffy snow.
Did another big chunk after skiing.

XC Skiing 2:02:14 [3] 13.36 km (6.6 kph) +276m
ahr:92 max:123

Kolapore with Barb, Jamie, Cathy, Eddie and Nicole from the parking lot. Skiing was a bit slow and sticky but it was pounding down powder so the forest was gorgeous. I skied home after.

Total time was 2:50 but lots of stops to scrape skis. Didn’t need rock skis.
