you should notify the authorities? Maybe they could live-trap it somehow. Doesn't appear to be rabid, at least, if it's close by but doesn't approach.

Well, the first set of authorities has already been notified, namely, the club pro, and I heard that he was out early in the morning already filling in a foxhole. So what I saw was foxhole version 2.

Meanwhile, we have called in a wildlife expert from out of state to investigate...

... starting about noon today, though the thorough individual that he is, it may takes us a while to get to the 16th hole. Between Charlie, Gail, and me there will be three sand wedges and assorted other weapons, just in case things turn ugly. And also a camera.

So if you and Gail and Charlie don't have any ugly encounter today, and they fill in hole # 2, # 3 shouldn't be far behind. I don't think Charlie will want to handle the fox, though, unless it's been tranquilized.

The golf course must be a fine source of chipmunks and squirrels and mice, I'd think... Perhaps rabbits too?

I don't think he is going to handle the fox mother herself, but maybe any possible pups.
