An old but well-cared for Flexible Flyer (made in Medina OH). Looks like you can still find them on Amazon and perhaps elsewhere, but they stopped making them in Medina in 1973 and are now made in China.
Oh wow, that's cool. As kids my brother and I never got a similar one of those to work; I wonder if it excels in conditions other than the ones in which we deployed it!
They don't do as well in fresh powder and if the snow is too soft, the narrow blades just go thru to whatever's underneath, but once there is a somewhat packed run, they fly. Dry it off after use to prevent rust / corrosion, and soap or wax the runners.
I've got an old one of those somewhere...
