...Hours of driving accompanied all that walking?

Looks like you were scouting potential O-venues, but Mill Race is already one (Sprint#2, FP 2017?).

Had to meet Thurston in Columbus IN to transfer equipment for next weekend (he was taking Salinda back to IU). Mainly looking for birds. Rushville and Anderson Falls might be suitable O venues (park sprint, middle respectively), but nothing currently in the works. Driving, roughly 2 hours each way. Actual time in each park was quite a bit longer than I reported, but I tend to only count what I think was actual movement at a reasonable pace (as opposed to looking/listening for birds, etc).
Rush County has very low numbers of species reports compared to surrounding counties - partly because of lack of good birding sites especially any public lakes or easily accessed wetland areas.
