What was Avi scene like up there? Seems to be a bit suspect right now.

Anyway, are you good for doing some dawn patrols sometime soon if you are staying around Seattle area. We can suss out some nice areas and it doesn't have to be epic - just safe turns and some climbing. Waiting for my splitboard to come back right now but I've got the snowshoes either way.

didn't look too bad. we dug to the ground to try and find that depth hoar they speak of in the avy report. we found slightly faceted snow but nothing crazy scary. avy danger was considerable so we played it safe and skied mostly in the trees.

however it's all changing now. avy danger is EXTREME right now. tons of snow and rising freezing levels. scary.

when it settles i'm going to get out a lot. i'm in seattle for the foreseeable future.

Good, I'll let you know the night before or at least in AM the day before.

Glad I got it yesterday, snow was amazing and today looked awful with exreme danger - we only get that a couple of times a season.

Won't be going out for a few days anyway.
