I would not worry too much about it. Although, now I am thinking that sometimes I do use rocks that are too small for my controls. I guess it is up to you.

Like sometimes you almost have to dig for some of these rocks. Just put it on the cluesheet haha.

Nothing is like, 0.3 m rock in empty flat flood plain or open field. It's all close to something or in stuff. Except that yellow one, kind of a flattish spur off a trail. I found it right away in scouting, even with some snow on it, but my can-finish-orange level tester did not. Granted, no bag, which would might make it trivial, since it's only 10 m off trail. Maybe I just talked myself back into using it! Or calling it a flat spur and just putting it near the rock. I should borrow one of the most beat up club bags for visualization purposes. I spent a lot of time on Saturday and Sunday hanging flags, running away, checking for visibility (white) and invisibility (15 - 20 pointers), running back and tweaking the bag. That might be better to do in scouting, at least until I get the hang of it.
