we did that section in bike shoes and I was curious how many others did as well. Saved us from carrying the additional shoes throughout the bike road which was nice.
Yeah, I haven't figured out a way to transport trekking shoes - they fill up the XA 20 really fast, so I thought this was the time to try it out.
I saw someone had rigged up shoe holders to his bike at a previous race. I wish I recalled how. This was only my second race clipless so it's all new.
For that flowing bike section I think clipless is a huge advantage and saves time. It helps when you can run on along the shoulder and trails too and not just pavement.
