Discussion: Bright lights!

Wow, don't let the patients look into the lights! (I note the sunglasses...)
I bet all the other dentists will be placing orders with you! And the local dentists will be begging you to leave some toys behind.
Looks like a fun group, I can imagine what a fulfilling experience that would be to share, in an interesting setting.

'Bent's patients always wear sunglasses but not just because of the lights, which are pointed into their mouths anyway. The most important reason is that dentists are using sharp tools, drills and adhesive materials, none of which are nice if they fall in people's eyes. That's one of the things I look for if I'm evaluating how up-to-date a dentist is, or whether a dentist on TV is doing it right.

Especially here where my assistant is a complete rookie, I don't like the idea of contaminated instruments dropping into an unprotected eye. We are sandblasting too, so the glasses are well splattered at the end of the appt.

My pimped Apex is doing duty for another volunteer hygienist who gave away her light when she tried it. I modded it to use Li-ion battery packs of course, as well as supercharged the light.

This sounds like your dream volunteer project. Dentistry *and* headlamps!

Ha, good one Bash! If he only could combine Dentistry, headlamps AND running!...perhaps chasing patients around the building a couple of times? ;)

With the line ups we've seen, it looks like the patients would be willing to chase to dentists for this service! Maybe a night chase while 'Bent is awake due to thoughts of FB in the brown dress...
