How many feet did you get wet? I did steeple in high school and used to love the water jump although my friends thought I looked like a spider-monkey jumping from over the pit. My goal was always take off with my left and just get my right foot wet the entire race. Of course when you're tired and your stride gets messed up, or someone gets in your way...
I did the one-foot on top of all the steeples always, I'd rather lose style points than nail one of those.

I must admit, I was a two-footer, =) , at least this time around! I'd literally never been over a water jump until 300m or so into the race, so I just copied the girl in front of me! I think I could do the one foot with a bit more practice (and maybe without doing a 1500m and 5k beforehand!), I'm sure it's lots faster!!!

And the women's steeples are a good 6 inches shorter than the mens, so I just hurdled them, being a tall gal! I think with a bit more practice, I could keep more momentum over them as well- they're the same height as the 400m hurdles, and people definitely get over those quicker!
