I actually remember watching the match as a corn fed country boy from Wyoming beat the undefeated Russian bear. Kind of like Rocky vs. Drago.

rulon won on a lame tecnicality new rule (AK lost grip in a clinch) but he still won! Imagine how terrifying it would be fighting that guy, who was 820-0 or something at that point.
