Extended Commute In. Heavy pack.

Legs a little tired at first but warmed up. Road was a little wet.

Tree fell down in the road right in front of me right after I got to the end of the driveway. I was in a rush so I didn't stop to help move it. The car behind me wasn't so fortunate to be able to ride right through it.

Campus Run.
Was planning to run off road but we got a big downpour and I decided to avoid the soaked fields and run the paved trails instead.

Sun had come back out and rain was evaporating off the pavement making for a hot and humid run 80F 75DP (maybe higher off the pavement).

Pace getting slow again. Was hoping to take it easier but had to push a little bit to keep the 8:00 pace.

Mountain Biking 2:17:00 [3] 19.6 mi (8.6 mph) +3382ft
shoes: Viathon M1 GX

Parked at the upper lot after dropping the kids off. First ride after rebuilding the shifter to make sure it is working. The new shifter cable stretched so much that I couldn't adjust the barrel anymore and I had to stop midride tighten the cable on the Der.

Rode lots of new trails. Started with Running Cedar and saw a sidetrail I wanted to try on the way back. Looked for the trail off the top through the private property to Stonecutters and finally found it. Took my own route off the spur first until I found the trail and then backtracked it. Realized I never found it because I was always looking for it on hilltops but it comes off the saddle.

Rode Snyder's the opposite way this time with no crashing (or braking bikes). Both Wavelength and Mineral Way were fun downhills. Chimney was fun heading over to Farm.

Then went over to McDonald and rode there. Tightened the shift cable after the first climb. Then busted my tire as I started to descend and had to add a tube, Had lots of Stan's and couldn't see a big whole so not sure why it was leaking. Will have to assess.

Then rode back with one more climb (legs were pretty toasted by this point). Couldn't take the Running Cedar sidetrail because I ran out of time from the mechanicals. Will have to come back for it.

Solid amount of climbing. Strong times until the final climb with a strong final descent.

Took a while to warm up so the first 800 was slow. Got into a groove eventually.
