Paddle 2:41:02 intensity: (15:53 @0) + (1:52:52 @1) + (21:04 @2) + (11:13 @3) 14.05 mi (11:28 / mi)
ahr:124 max:160

Change practice. I steered for the first half and then jumped out and did some changes. The first time I had to get in the boat was super slippery and I slid back almost climbing in on the steers-woman's lap! The second time, I managed to grab the iaku and get in on my correct seat. It was definitely more work in the second half when I was paddling most of the time. The second time in, I was supposed to call the changes and I kept forgetting. oops. I'll get better at that next time. Plus, my paddle was super long so that was tough. Our poor teammate Shannon is much taller than the rest of us so she got stuck with short paddles all the time.

Actually paddled the whole time at practice rather than steering. It was a good workout. :)

Road Bike 3:36:04 intensity: (7:04 @0) + (2:27:00 @1) + (52:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) 50.1 mi (13.9 mph) +352ft

Ride to Mugu point with Luisa. Thought it might be hotter so we took the coastal route. Not too bad for heat but I know if we'd gone into the mountains (Santa Paula) it would have been brutal. Easy endurance ride, but the wind was really strong. Even though I haven't been riding much, I guess I'm pretty good with the wind because it hasn't seemed to bother me much in recent rides. I felt good and strong. Watch died about a mile before the turn around point so I just increased time in zones proportionally. First and last few miles involved time on crowded trails which was incredibly slow in order to not have a collision.
