Note
Well we are checked in, maps are pretty much done, just have to rearrange the gear bins before heading over to Kaslo. Hopefully it can be a more relaxing evening today and we can get a good nights sleep.
Course looks great. Not a huge amount of route choice on a larger scale but a few shorter sections with some unmapped logging roads may be tricky. Typical mountain course where the general route often has to follow a valley and how you choose the route within the bush may be more important.
I think the scenery should be amazing - we are trekking through part of Goat Range Provincial Park and Valhalla Provincial Park. These parks have no trails and should be true wilderness (and thick bush). Lots of biking which should be good for us. There are five climbs of 1000-1500m so the climbing legs will get a work out. Some fun singletrack as well on the Wakefield trail and the Seven Summits trail.
Looking forward to it!
