Trail Run 1:25:00 [3]

Trail run with Ms Gally. Goal was to go longer, but we both did legs yesterday and felt it. I was falling asleep on drive home. I guess more tired than I think

Weights 35:00 [3]

Ms Gally pain cave. Upper body.

She laughs at me ( not with me) a lot. I think she enjoys seeing me in pain.

Trail Run 1:55:00 [3] 23.0 km (5:00 / km)

Ran in circles around kelso. In hindsight should gave headed straight to rattlesnake, there would have been less looking at the map to avoid xterra course and we had to jump into the woods for riders as course was unavoidable.

Good catchup with Aud, great to see Harps as he and family came to watch. Logie was 12 th overall in Triathalon 1 st In age. Gally and Mrs Gally looked they they enjoyed the duathalon and we saw so many others.

We beat the rain

MTB 2:16:00 [3] 35.0 km (3:53 / km) +1650ft 3:38 / km

Up at 5:45 am so Virginia could ride and be home for 11:00 am. Really hard to get out there but felt so amazing to be home for 8:30 am and already had climbed the dreaded 12 th line, and hit 3 stages and back.

Bash was just waking up, having her coffee and then out in her own for more hill climbing/ trekking.

I have until noon before I have to head back to the city. Pure bliss to be hanging in chalet with no kiddos :)

Trek 5:36:00 [3] 28.0 km (12:00 / km) +5000ft 9:26 / km

Bash wanted hills, I must have known when I suggested we sneak away to Blue for a night ( really so I get a full nights sleep), she jumped on my idea.

Goal was not to crush any speed records, it was to hike mostly everything and jog anything flat in between. Bash had in her mind the elevation she wanted to accomplish today. Easy for me to plan route and never far from home, and with an easy one water drop and the village as the second.

Virginia joined us part way in ( and boo Peaks was close due to construction, we did enter the "do not enter sign" and had to descend down the Far east ski hill as the construction crew said they would export V if she tried to go up). She managed to sneak by them to come meet us in the far hill.

Weather was perfect.

Event: ESAR

Adventure Race 6:37:00 [3]

Awesome day with Bash and Ms Gally. Another great race put on by storm.

One teammate had to do 1 km prologue sprint. Ms Gally really had no choice. As it was an unspoken team decision she was doing it. This was a tough start because basically you had to run a 3 min/ km to save yourself from being caught with the masses once in the single track. Ms Gally was a trooper and off in the bikes we went. We did get caught in the masses, although it was really only a select few that could have gotten in front. So the first 9 km was a slow single track ride, but fun nevertheless. Lots of transitions, bike/trek/bike/paddle/bike/trek/bike/trek/bike. Bash nailed all the controls. We did 50 km of biking but I was feeling all of the country road hills near the end. I guess I was digging into a tank that I have not dipped in a couple of years. I could not stay for the awards ... Sorry I missed it and we left Bash all alone to represent,

As always, great team, great day.

Trail Run 2:56:00 [3] 22.0 km (8:00 / km)

Hockley with Ms Gally and a cameo from another Gtwn friend.

I am confessing the following:

1. I walked a crap load of those hills still ( the ones I use to be able to bounce up)

2. I did a water drop - so time includes refill

3. Ms Gally told me she only had 3 hours, so we took the gravel road up on the start of the south side and we took the blue option to cut a small portion of the white on the south side.

4. But we took the first right on blue instead of the second blue right in the north east forest.....but I think that adds time. And I figured out that why I missed Wanda and Aud that day.

5. I took advantage of Ms Gally, super happy her legs were still tired, kept her from bouncing around me.

Good news as I was out of breath most the time, time flew by.
