Run (Trail) 1:53:37 [3] 20.01 km (5:41 / km) +270m 5:19 / km
ahr:139 max:152 shoes: Hoka One One Evos (2nd)

Trail run, 15km south of Hester then an extra 5km on the north side.
Legs felt pretty good for most of the run, a bit tired on some of the hills but recovered well.
Busy trail today with plenty of MTB's and hikers.

Run (Trail) 1:50:16 [3] 16.15 km (6:50 / km) +197m 6:26 / km
ahr:131 max:163 shoes: Hoka One One Evos (2nd)

Trail run with Jacko from Bells to Syds & return in the rain. A few stops along the way to watch some paddlers doing their stuff.
Lots of the trail was under water today, at some parts the trail disappeared straight into the river and there were plenty of streams to cross, some ankle deep but a few required wading through almost knee deep water. Good fun running in these conditions. On the return leg we got into a puddle splashing contest with both of us ending up having mud covered legs. Good to finish the run with no falls as the trail was very slippery in places.
Good times.

Paddle 41:08 [3] 7.17 km (5:44 / km)
ahr:121 max:132 shoes: PRS

Paddle from Bells to Amiens.
Over a year since I've been for a paddle (other than the Boundless AR)
Bells was pumping and we decided to put in at the lower part. I had a few wobbles going around the elbow but otherwise felt ok. It didn't take long for my hip flexors to complain, then my wrist, then my shoulder. I don't think a longer paddle would have been as enjoyable today, it was nice to get out and have a bit of moving water. I got a few lines wrong coming through the trees but got better as we went, until I actually went straight through some a tree near the finish almost coming off. I had an assortment of wildlife on me at the finish that I must have picked up from the tree including a lizard, earwig, bugs and spiders.
The only downside of the paddle was Jacko falling in... not that he fell in but I didn't actually see it so it takes some of the pleasure out of it.
Couldn't have asked for better conditions for a run & paddle.

Run 1:01:35 [3] 10.92 km (5:38 / km) +148m 5:17 / km
ahr:139 max:153 shoes: Hoka One One Evos (2nd)

Trail run with Jacko & Zara.
We put my old garmin on Zara's collar, she did about 600m more than us and had a top pace of 2:28/km when chasing kangaroos.
Nice cruisy but steady effort tonight.
I had a bit of a brain lapse on the return leg when I noticed my HR% was at about 84 on a relatively flat section. I thought Jacko must have upped the pace quite a bit, we eased off and my HR was at 88, Jacko was in the low 80's and I was starting to think my HR belt was playing up from the zip of my shirt. A little further up the trail I was at 94, then 95, then I realised ... I had changed the screen of my watch to show ascent instead of HR% & it was going up as we climbed the hill. I was relieved to see I wasn't going to have a heart attack and we had a good laugh, and I'm sure that's the last we will ever talk about it.
On the return we ran into Vic, the owner of the dog that got run over a few months back. We had a quick chat and were back on our way.
Most of the return run was in light rain but it wasn't a problem until we finished the run & were waiting to cross the road. Then it became very annoying.

Afternoon trail run on the Neerabup trail south of Hester.
Kept the effort pretty easy, slowing right down but not walking the hills today.
