ROCKSTAR - great race good times with hubby - a few words here and there but not bad! Decided to stay low this year and go for the big points which worked out well. We got to use hubby's new canoe for a bit and head to the top to pick up a few big points (100 and 120) followed by a trail run to a 20 then back in the boat. Decided to fnot go for a 100 and 50 pointer as weather was looking sketchy and went back down to run to a 30 and 120 pointer and then a mad scramble at the end to get as many points as we could.

Worked out well and we won overall which was super exciting! Tree huggers were hot on our tails and did awesome as well to take 2nd overall!

Great day, still married and can't wait to race again!

Patty and I did a nice long run (shorter than planned )from Spey side to Kelso - hill repeats at Kelso x 8 then on to Crawford Lake. I have a bad case of poison ivy from gardening last weekend at the cottage so found this session difficult as sweating was a bit uncomfortable with the rash all over me. I am on steroids so thought is might make me go farther and be more aggressive than usual but... did the exact opposite. I kept looking to the side of the trail to find a nice spot for a nap!
Will need to get one more long one in before Leadville
