Another PR...by 83m (1%). But after three days' rest, I really sweated on this early Sunday morning effort. Felt pretty good throughout. Started quite fast, to establish a good pace and end-goal distance. Then tried to maintain pace to attain at least 7100m for the half-hour piece. Had quite a bit left for the final 5minute sprint, so I finished at the same pace as I started. First time I've attained TopTen in the world rankings in my age group...8th Place! 6minute pacing splits (time/500m):

Sunset Valley GC, Highland Park. Very cold biking over to the train depot. Started to question my judgement walking to the GC in Highland Park. Stopped for some pancakes to let the day warm up. Nevertheless ground was frozen and I could see my breath by the time I teed off at 10am. It wasn't until after noon that I could get a tee into the ground, and my wedge shots didn't carom off the green to parts unknown. So back nine was quite enjoyable.

Three 2k sets, with a failed PR attempt in the middle. Fell 2.2 seconds short of my 8:06.1 PR. Again hanging on after the mid-point. Probably started out too fast again. Splits:
