Stonehouse MapRun.

Work has got even busier now I’m covering a paternity leave as well as two vacancies. Being in office, found it very hard to find any time to get away from desk to walk around - and struggling for time to do any work. Legs feeling even worse than they did.

Didn’t do a lot of stretching out before starting, but the first km felt pretty uncomfortable, and then just felt tired and slow for the rest though pace suggests otherwise.

S-29-30-21-20-6-11-24-25-22-19-18-26-16-15-14-8-28-9-3-13-27-17-23-10-2-F. 550 points.

Distribution of points meant starting to east, and quickly able to form up a route that would get everything except 12, but quickly apparent that I wasn’t quick enough - long ways to first few checkpoints encouraged me to start cutting the 10 pointers. Thought hard about 4 but still felt time was a bit tight and more value in the final loop (70 points) which I didn’t want to get timed out of. In hindsight, probably could have got it, maybe need to be more lucky crossing roads though.

Not the most efficient route in the new estate. Went for interesting, which was muddier, as gave opportunity to see something different to the through road I’d just driven down.

Felt like a lot of running towards the end. Happy not to have overdone it.

Drizzly, but did well to escape the rain.
