Solo ride at Durham. Perfect conditions out, which made the trails super busy. Also I deviated from my normal solo route to try and find some trails I haven't hit all year on the south end. Didn't end up finding them, but was good to hit some different stuff for a change.

Hit Seaton on my way home from work. Was anticipating this run being hard, but it ended up being harder than I expected. The heat and humidity, combined with my lack of trail runs lately, and some bad hotspots on my feet all made this one a character building run more than anything.

Not sure if the hotspots were from the heat, tenderness left over from UNE, or the need for new shoes. I want to think the latter. :)

Nice social ride at Kelso with Simpy, Funderstorm, and Hermes (with a cameo appearance from DDon11). Awesome to just have a bit of fun on some nice flowy trails with some technical riding in spots to keep things interesting. Lots of chit chatting as well. Good fun with great company.

Finally got off my butt from my post-UNE break. Decided to hit Durham on my day off, as with all the focus on longer rides in prep for UNE, we have done very little singletrack this year. Felt so good to just ride through the forest at a nice easy pace, although the bike was doing a lot of complaining from the abuse it took in Maine. Looking forward to getting some of these more enjoyable rides in over the summer.

Legs and lungs felt good, and surprisingly I felt pretty smooth technically.
