Sunday Seaton run with Simpy with a full(ish) pack. This run was one of those that I was looking forward to the end after 30 minutes. Not feeling it at all today, and the hills were laying a beating on me. Chest was tight, and had some hotspots on the feet again. May go invest in a roll of leukotape after all.

Felt great once it was over though. :)

Originally planned for a Seaton run, but after feeling so crappy last Friday in the heat and humidity, and still fighting this dang summer cold, I decided to wuss out and head out for a bike instead. The Yeti is in the shop, so it was time to bust out Frankenbike for a Waterfront Trail ride.

Wayyyyy to busy for my liking tonight, with too many people walking down the trail completely oblivious to anything around them. Admittedly I need a bell, but now I am considering opting for an airhorn instead.

Nice easy Wednesday night ride at Durham with Simpy. Cold had me feeling crappy, so Simpy was graceful enough to let me lead. Tried some trail experimentation on the south end to add new legs to my regular route, and ended up travelling some rarely used trails. Everything was still enjoyable, and the trails are in awesome condition.

A notable part of the ride was when a bee/wasp flew into my helmet, and then proceeded to sting me on the forehead. I pulled over quickly to get my helmet off. Simpy rode up and asked what I had stopped for. When I let him know what happened, his only response was "Did you pause the GPS?"

Ran into an old friend Larry, as well as Dennis from Team Mountain Goat. Super fun night.

Regular road run with a light pack. Pace felt better, but stomach was not doing me any favours on the last 1/3 of the run, which likely slowed the pace. Other than that, it was a nice night for a run.
