Cycling race 1:15:00 [4]
RockstAR bike section.
Bash and I worked pretty well in the technical bits. I got up front behind PJ and FJ to get away from the traffic that kept bailing in front of me, but saw Bash take a real slider in a puddle, and we ended up leapfrogging a group of riders. Legs were fine but my stomach seemed to stitch up in the humidity- maybe I drank too much before?
One of our better rides though- Bash is fast!

RockstAR- trekkiing and paddling.
We weren't sure about my knee, so planned a route with some bail-outs.
I was actually a bit worried at the start, but got better as we went along.
I was OK on the bushwhacking, and some of the "trail" in the Southeast turned out to be only 70% trail and 30% deep mud-holes so it was not a sustained run. We bailed on a high-value control (#130) due to the slow slogging on trail, but the bail-out got us through particularly nasty bush too.
Knee held out OK, more or less, but I had to be very careful in the bush. My legs aren't used to running either, and were a bit crampy once we got in the boat.
Bash's nav was great as always, but I couldn't tow on foot.
Sadly not too much paddling.
A great, well-organized race. We were 3rd co-ed, and 7th overall. Previously we've been 2nd overall twice, but this was a good field and I'm not in race shape, so a decent result.
