Finally able to do some strength. Not a ton of oomph, so I did some Home Gym and K/O's Link workout, which at least works up a good sweat.
Sinuses no longer feel like a dropped kettlebell.

Ugh, great ski conditions out there, but I'm still sick and BZdog *needs* a run so I sucked it up and jogged with the little dude rather than skiing or driving.

Sketchy conditions, didn't feel 100% and knee's a bit sore, but forecast for rain tomorrow so I'm still glad I got to ski in.
Massive battle to get BZdog to stay home- he threw himself out the door once, I grabbed him and hauled him back in, (Wily beast tried hard to slip his collar by pulling back and twisting his head) then he shot between my legs and romped with Bulletdog all over the lawn. I finally tackled him and had to carry him in and hurl him down the hall and slam the door ASAP. Much howling as we skied off.

Easy ski home. Falling snow made for much better conditions.
Think I have Bash's cold- sore throat, headache and sniffles.
Running warm up/down 45:00 [1]
Warmup and picking controls after. No cooldown as I was on Finish Control duty- brrr! Thanks Phats for relieving me!

Thomass Caledon- the final one.
Cold windy day but nice winter running conditions. Despite my cold, I started well and led Hammer and AL out of the first box.
I ran alone in the lead to 3 and 4, but lost the race between 4 and D. I punched 5 before D (d'oh!- box 2 starts after 4) then took a bad route through thick bush before abandoning and going back around to easier trails. For once I wasn't chasing AL- he was behind or with me from E- 8, then we swapped a bit. Hammer was long gone though.
I knew I was done when G-stix, Sergei, Mick and Bender caught me before 9, and it was a foot race from there up the steepest hills. I made up a bit of time on route choice to 11, but didn't have the lungs to keep up, and finished just behind Bender. AL and Goose came in a few minutes later, and Goose hadn't taken his handicap!
The Hammer is back- a well deserved win.
I enjoyed this one, and had good contact with the map the whole way.
Big thanks to Bash, Rocky, Keith, Crash and all the other CN volunteers who froze their butts off out there and fed us very well.,
