Rest day. Need an easy week to calm a few niggly injuries before hitting training hard for 7 weeks upto easter! Probably will do some non-weight bearing stuff this week to maintain my fitness.

Sprint Orienteering race (NOL Sprint Final) 33:00 [5] ***** 2.9 km (11:23 / km) +134m 9:15 / km
shoes: Brooks Pure Cadence

Possibly the most difficult sprint course I have ever run!! The Kelvin Grove Urban village map was extremely physical and technical, and the courses were set with technical route choice decisions, often complicated by multi-storey buildings, OOB areas and stairs.
Was happy with the first half of the course, possibly running a top-7 time in the A-Final, but lost any hope I had with a huge (5 minute) error at #16. Completely forgot that the only level mapped is the running level, and as a result was wasting time on other levels!
Overall quite disappointed with my performance, it clearly showed I didn't deserve to be in the A-final, but it was a great learning experience and I've taken plenty away to improve my sprint orienteering (still my favourite distance!)

Sprint Orienteering race (NOL Sprint Relay) 34:00 [5] **** 4.8 km (7:05 / km) +120m 6:18 / km
shoes: Brooks Pure Cadence

Sprint Relay on the very tricky Roma Street Parklands map.
It was a joy to run on, and I was pretty happy with both my legs, although route choice was a problem on one or two legs, especially the long one.

Sprint Orienteering race (NOL Sprint Qualification) 25:00 [5] **** 2.7 km (9:16 / km) +55m 8:24 / km
shoes: Brooks Pure Cadence

A tricky course on the Griffith Nathan Campus map. Was physically tired after this morning's sprint, and could just not concentrate the whole race. Only made one major error at Number 6, missing it by two hundred metres to the right! Lots of small errors and hesitating throughout the rest of the course. Not very happy with my run, but happy to qualifiy for the A-final tomorrow. Great courses Su Yan!

3x 1km complex sprint courses using Peacehaven (1:2000) Map. Only took them at about 80% to avoid any injuries/tiring myself too much before the weekend, and concentrated on map reading and route choice and control flow. Pool Recovery. Rest day tomorrow before NOL on Saturday!

Road Cycling warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Easy ride upto Peacehaven and back plus stretching.

Just a quick run this morning...so much to do, so little time! Hopefully will have time for a moderate-hard sprint-o session tomorrow and then rest on friday. Pool recovery.
