Run 43:30 intensity: (23:30 @2) + (20:00 @3) 8.5 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2130

Out to the greenbelt trails again - very nice morning - good to be back running on the trails. Felt less stiff than last time.

Note

Front yard snow pic from yesterday. We are gone for the next three weeks so I won't be able to update the actual day that is disapears. I asked our neighbour to keep an eye on it and tell me that date. I expect it might last into May. So it should be safe to crown Bash the winner of the inaugural snow melt off:)

Bike 45:00 [3] +400m

A lap on Mt Cartier and a little extra with the dog. Trail was a bit wet lower down but no snow. Fun ride. I think I saw two wolves on the trail. They stared at me for bit then went on their way. Only other explanation is that two local dogs were out walking themselves a km from the nearest house. Cartier is a tough climb when you haven't done much climbing in the past several months.

Run 45:00 [2] 8.5 km (5:18 / km) +30m 5:12 / km
ahr:131 shoes: Asics GT 2130

Tested the back out on a short run around the greenbelt trails. There wasn't much snow left except in the trees. Felt mechanical and stiff. Legs were actually a bit sore from yesterday. Not sure if the back will be happy later tonight but so far so good.

Skate ski 1:30:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (40:00 @3) + (20:00 @4) 21.0 km (4:17 / km)

Got out to MacPherson for a ski. Mixed bag of conditions - some fast icy stuff, some soft slow bits, some chewed up sections. Overall pretty good though. Back wasn't too bad skating. Not sure it would be happy running though. Still over a meter of snow on the higher trails. Who knows... might still be able to skate when I get back from our holiday in three weeks.

Was hoping to go touring today but didn't get organised enough so Saturday was likely my last day of touring this year. Always a bit depressing but I can't complain as this is the most I have ever toured in a season and we've had lots of great turns.
