Bah! Hamstring started painfully twinging with every stride somewhere right after 9. I tried to stretch it out and keep going once, but the pain returned after only about 1 minute. So I quit. Boo.

So the part of the race I did do:
14, I mean 1- Mistake out of the start- tried to go to the GO control, whoops! Realized before I entered the woods, but at least a minute mistake.
2- Fine, little unsure about stone wall on way in.
4- Over top, didn't really register light yellow on way in, but stone wall+ reentrant were enough.
5- Straighter than necessary?
6- Went right by. In a little low vis area. Maybe better attacking from yellow.
7- Racing Jeff Schapiro, he beat me. I got a bit distracted from my plan, had to consider what swamp I was in.
8- Slightly worried by first boulder, turns out it is on the map, just directly under control circle.
9- Nervous heading to back side of spur, but boulder was basically right where I wanted it.

And, possibly exciting, this morning I realized I'd orienteered here before- one of the 3 times I orienteered as a teenager. I was organizing my maps and found an orange course of Beech Hill. And apparently the area hasn't been used since?

Jog back to the start. Was at far end of the course when the hamstring twinged.
