Great day at Hockley - great group - Sarah and I invented our own route at the end of the first lap and got some marsh training in. Ventured out on second lap alone knowing I had to shorten it as Patty not feeling great so she agreed to meet me with vehicle at 4th line which was great of her. Ran in to the hiking group so was relieved going the right way and stuck left where Dee instructed me to pay attention then started day dreaming about a nice hot bath or burger and followed river in wrong direction for a bit - amazing how I can convince myself that I am still on a trail and that I will see the white blazes soon - re traced back and realized my error......same place I ventured left on first lap from group. Glad I got in as much as I did - hills were good and challenging, need to get back there before Hellgate. Not sure on total distance.
