Training Log Archive: 'Bent

Did the rest of the controls of the THI. I paid more attention to the map and relied less on knowledge of the trails, and it was pretty clean.
I managed to jog most of it today. Yes!

Workout #2.

Jog in to work with a frisky T-dog.

Easy Jog-hike home with T-dog. Used the new pimped-out Apex headlamp. Wow- looks like a bike light!

Finally went to the Hard Core class with Caron.
I've been doing this at home, but parts of the class hurt.

Yoga class. I was never all that flexible, and this time I had to sit out quite a few exercises that involved my bad knee, even though Caron was less evil than usual I am told. Still, better than couching it.

Tested out the THI course with Bulletdog. Jogged the trails, walked the bush with my brace on. Due to my low speed, time constraints, lack of nav practice and uncertain knee, I left out the Northern controls.

A nice course, and it's great to be out in the bush again.
Controls were not hidden behind rocks or deep in holes in the ground, and the map was very legible for us older guys.

Jog in to work and home in the dark and fog. Knee felt fine, but the other formerly bad leg is not too strong.

Note - they've finished mulching the forest and grading down the hills in Reddington on my new commute trail, and are now working on destroying my older route. Lots of flagging and survey markers along the S border of Palgrave East. Not a good omen.
