Wild BOAR with Coach LD.
Great race around some bits of Caledon and King that I don't really know. Luckily, Coach LD does know them, and we had a lot of fun racing together. Despite some nav trouble at the start we had a solid second half. LD can really hammer on the bike!
Short-coursed but ended on time, and came second (I think) to Bash and VO2max who dominated, doing almost the full course but coming in a few minutes overtime. Everyone else but the Hunters (Crash and Dunc) were late enough for big time penalty or DQ.
Lots of bonus points available for best costume, best wavier, photos of amphibians and small mammals, etc. (Does Scooby count as a large mammal?) and a little controversy over the definition of requiring a photo of your team-mate at the non-SI controls. I think every team won something or other.
Luckily the short-course meant we biked instead of doing the long trek, so my knee's only moderately sore today.
Goose does a great race! All the TAs ran smoothly with Goose and sidekick Pops doing a ton of work. Great T/A food too!
Just wish we had 6 hours or so to clean the course.
Nice tour down to Albion, around and home to pick up the pooch.
Ate a big clod of dirt thrown off my wheel, hydration hose caught in my rear disk, tried one tight corner 4X but just couldn't find the recumbent line, love it all.
Quick ride to work, then a good stead ride along the rail trail to my environmental meeting, and back at dusk. It's light out long enough that I only needed the Nightlightning on low for the last bit.
Cold barefoot run around F&M's trail in the pines. Round pine cones- ouch!

Borrowed Bash's garmin for a quick trot around Palgrave West. Includes a slow cooldown and some bushwhacking.
Interesting to see my pace go from 3:55 to 10:00 /km.
We'll see how the knee likes it.
