Nice easy tour down to Albion and around with Bash. Spring birds and foliage at their peak, and trails are perfect. Bash got lots of pics- I hope some of the ones I took of her come out OK.
I think all the not-running is helping my biking- I put the hammer down on a few of the longer hills in bigger rings, and my speed's up on the climbs I usually measure.
To work with the Bulletdog, who got a ride home with Bash, then the scenic route all around Palgrave East. Some traffic out there- I caught a very surprised group of riders on the most technical part of Salty Stephen singletrack. I guess they're not used to being passed by a recumbent with a big commuting load.
Test hike with Bash and Bulletdog on the steepest hills of Hockley to see if my knee's up for the Mountain Marathon. No running.
I had my full MM pack on (5kg ) and an extra 2kg of water. With trekking poles I only felt my knee on the downhills. See how it is tomorrow.
