shoes: Topo Terraventure 2.0

Easy run with the dogs. TRCA was out scouting the pick-up-sticks piles of Ash tree widowmakers.

Ankle (taped) seemed OK on flat singletrack.

Rehab. Ankle a bit sore from the run, but not too bad.

Up the creek to the portage then hiked to Baby Joe and Lost Joe Lakes.
Water is high!

Another cautious hike around Arowhon on the orange trail. Less technical than the other one, but lots of deep puddles.

Swimming 15:00 [3]

Swimming in October! I donned the wet suit, and had a surprisingly pleasant swim. In the cold water I didn't want to go too far unescorted, so just out to the buoys and back freestyle.

Surprisingly buoyant on my back with the neoprene swim cap.
I think I got the head position and leg timing a little better on a few strokes, but mostly work-in-progress.

Nice paddle around Joe Lake. Our wedding campsite was occupied, but we paddled by.
